LCAA, BAGAIA, and MOT sign resolution to establish aircraft accident investigation bureau in Liberia


Margibi, September 18, 2021 - The Liberia Civil Aviation Authority, the Ministry of Transport, and the Banjul Accord Group Accident Investigation Agency have signed a resolution to establish an Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) in Liberia by July 2022. It also advocates for the execution of the AAIB ACT of 2019, which will see the independent AAIB operate more effectively.

The Liberia Civil Aviation Authority in collaboration with Roberts Flight Information Region has begun a three-day workshop on Search and Rescue (SAR) at the Golden Key hotel in Monrovia. The workshop, facilitated by the ICAO, targets participants from government ministries and agencies, private institutions and NGOs that are involved with general security, search and rescue and the Aviation sector.
